Structural Project Engineer

Details: • Full-time/direct-hire role with one of our largest Steel Manufacturing clients. • On-site in Decator Alabama – some flexibility for remote working days. • $110-$130k base salary with bonuses – total compensation up to $150-$160k. • Full medical and 401k benefits offered. Must Have Experience and Qualifications: • 4+ years of experience within Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering • Must have knowledge and strong interest in Structural Engineering • Professional Engineer (PE) license in any state Nice to Have Experience and Qualifications: • Experience working at a steel products fabrication facility • Degree specifically with Structural emphasis • Transmission & distribution systems industry experience, utility structures design most preferred • PLS-Pole software knowledge • Experience in a customer-facing work environment Day to Day: One of Insight Global's largest and highly reputable manufacturing clients is seeking to hire a Structural Project Engineer to sit in Decatur, AL. This person will review and understand utility customer drawing packages and specifications, design and analyze tubular steel utility structures, primarily transmission, distribution, and substation structures, to meet national codes, industry standards, and customer requirements. Typical responsibilities range from providing preliminary design estimates to checking final design for production. They will also utilize 3D structure modeling software for pole design and proprietary calculation tools for component designs. This person will also provide technical support to and collaborate with sales, detailing, project management, and production teammate
