Job Title: Supply Chain/Manufacturing Senior Manager - Life Sciences - US - Consulting
The Life Sciences group is a part of the Global Life Sciences Center, which focuses on biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries. You will be an integral member of our life sciences consulting team, focusing on providing client services in the following areas: business performance management, analytics enablement, digital solutions including IoT/Industry 4.0, growth/strategy, process improvement, cost reduction, supply chain technology implementation and enterprise transformation.
Your key responsibilities Most of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.
Skills and attributes for success Leading large scale client engagements and consistently delivering quality client servicesDriving high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budgetMonitoring progress, managing risk and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomesStaying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's businessEffectively leading and motivating teams with diverse skills and backgroundsProviding constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team membersFostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environmentPlaying an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organizationGenerating new business opportunitiesUnderstanding EY and its service lines and actively assessing/presenting ways to serve clientsDeveloping relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needsDemonstrating deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge.To qualify for the role you must have A bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 7 years of related work experienceMust have at least five years of experience working in the manufacturing/quality space or in the consulting industry or a degree in supply chain plus 5 years experience10+ years of consulting in Life Sciences work experience, specifically around quality management, laboratory operations, regulatory, clinical trialsProven experience in business process improvement using process and digital solutions in the areas of manufacturing & qualityExperience using business analytics to identify business problems and implement manufacturing/quality/laboratory solutionsDemonstrated record of driving revenue within existing life sciences clients and in developing new prospects with senior executives of large life sciences companiesAbility to lead a team of consulting professionals on multiple projectsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment (knows when to lead and when to follow)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skillsA willingness to travel to meet client needsExperience working with solutions such as Veeva, ETQ, Trackwise, Compliancequest, Qualityze, Qualio, Dot Compliance & others.Ideally, you'll also have Medical science background, chemistry, biology, engineering or other experience relevant to the life sciences sectorLife Sciences industry experience working in a supply chain (i.e., procurement, manufacturing, planning, logistics) role - ideally experience of working in a manufacturing/quality roleExperience implementing digital solutions in the life sciences industryExperience using Agile implementation methodologiesCPSM, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma, PMP certification with related life sciences consulting experienceWhat we look for We're interested in passionate leaders with a strong vision and a desire to stay on top of trends in the Life Sciences industry.
