Supporting Kitchen Manager Tazza Kitchen in Richmond, VA, is seeking an experienced sous chef or Kitchen Manager to join our team as a full-time Supporting Kitchen Manager . The Supporting Kitchen Manager is a strategic position that supports more than one restaurant. In this role, the Supporting KM will train in all areas of a typical KM including recipes, prep, all stations, ordering, and scheduling. This position will rotate between two or more locations throughout the week providing backup for managers on their days off or vacation, filling gaps, and attending manager directionals. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Supporting KM is a full-time, exempt position averaging 45-48 hours/week, with two full days off. Compensation Range: $55,000-$65,000/year Benefits Health, Dental, Vision

Specific responsibilities include: Fostering teamwork, communicating expectations, and creating a positive culture
Leading by example to earn the respect of all restaurant employees
Assisting Managers in all BOH hiring
Training and leading kitchen staff to execute the menu according to specific presentation
Building weekly BOH labor schedules to meet budget goals
Enforcing safety protocols
Writing prep sheets
Managing daily ordering and inventory levels according to budget
Maintaining relationships with food vendors
Maintaining an organized and clean kitchen and storage area
Maintaining high scores on health inspections
Serving as the liaison with the FOH staff to execute service on a timely basis and create an exceptional dining experience.
Ideal Candidates Possess: Experience as an AKM or KM in a high-quality, high-volume kitchen
Strong leadership skills reflected in efficient communication skills
An ability to earn the trust and respect of their team
Competency in the kitchen at all stations and operational systems
Professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic
Ability to maintain a positive, upbeat attitude when under pressure
Openness to give and receive feedback
Fluency in Spanish and English a plus
