This program delivers Enterprise Computing engineering services with modern technology solutions with that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services.In this role you will: Proactively maintain and develop current data operations infrastructure to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service predominantly utilizing SplunkEngineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needsMaintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environmentsFault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptionsProactively monitoring system performance and capacity planningManage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardwareCreate and modify python and bash scripts or applications to perform tasksProvide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environmentCollaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processesABCRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
BAE is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a minimum of 16 years experience, and a Bachelors and/or Masters degree to support our Government Partner with all program related activities including stakeholder management, configuration and change management processes and coordination with the engineers, admins, and analysts. Qualified applicants should have significant experience in the following required areas:You should be customer service oriented, attentive to detail, self-motivated and work well in teams. Flexibility in approach to finding solutions, the ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities, and learn new technologies quickly are some of the qualities a successful candidate will have. You should have experience in Linux and Windows Server operating environments ideally for an enterprise data operational environment.
Expert level experience utilizing capabilities in Linux to manage and create custom solutions to enable data management across various data typesExperience with data queuing and processing as well as moving data across separate domains cross domain solutionsExperience managing data flow using NiFi or similar productsExperience managing and administering Splunk in a large-scale enterprise clustered environmentExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS): EC2, S3 and EFS storageAbility to respond to occasional 24×7 supportExperience managing cloud-based and on-premises systemsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Certified Splunk Administrator or ArchitectVirtual machine (VM) technologies (ESXi, VCenter, VSphere)Experience with deploying and managing SIEM systemsExtract, Transform, and Load (ETL) experience in managing diverse system dataExperience supporting a DevOps frameworkExperience architecting solutions with out-of-the-box thinking for improvements and efficienciesPay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 – $239140Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
