We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer – SME (Linux) to join our team.
Primary Job Duties & Required Job Qualifications: · Experience in Linux and Windows Server operating environments ideally for an enterprise data operational environment.
· Expert level experience utilizing capabilities in Linux to manage and create custom solutions to enable data management across various data types
· Experience with data queuing and processing as well as moving data across separate domains cross domain solutions
· Experience managing data flow using NiFi or similar products
· Experience managing and administering Splunk in a large-scale enterprise clustered environment
· Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS): EC2, S3 and EFS storage
· Ability to respond to occasional 24x7 support
· Experience managing cloud-based and on-premises systems
· Customer service oriented, attentive to detail, self-motivated and work well in teams.
· Flexibility in approach to finding solutions, the ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities, and learn new technologies quickly.
Preferred Skills: · ??????????????Virtual machine (VM) technologies (ESXi, VCenter, VSphere)
· Experience with deploying and managing SIEM systems
· Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) experience in managing diverse system data
· Experience supporting a DevOps framework
· Experience architecting solutions with out-of-the-box thinking for improvements and efficiencies
Desired Certifications: · Certified Splunk Administrator or Architect
Job Requirements · Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly U.S. Government Security is required
· Bachelor's Degree
· 16 years minimum of relevant professional work experience
· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
· Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships
· Ability to prioritize, demonstrated strong organizational skills, and ability to meet or exceed deadlines
Physical Demands: Position will require frequent sitting, standing, and/or mobility within an office setting. Employee must be able to use hands to complete work at a workstation/computer, be able to reach, type and manipulate with hands, fingers, and arms; lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; talk, see and hear.
Work Environment : Work is performed on client site in a professional office environment with moderate stress and noise levels. Position requires employee to effectively use a computer, potentially for long periods of time, and to accommodate potentially frequent interruptions. Candidate should be both customer-focused and present a team approach to overall work.
Schedule: Business core hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET. Standard work hours may vary for this position based upon contract requirements.
