Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tactical Control System (TCS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong background in Navy submarine operations, specifically as a Fire Control Technician (FT) or in a similar role. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the AN/BYG-1 combat system, including its functionality, operation, and integration within submarine platforms. As a TCS SME, you will provide technical expertise to support system development, testing, training, and lifecycle sustainment of Navy submarine combat systems. This is a 3 month contract to hire and offers 2-3 days of remote work per week.
\n Responsibilities: Provide subject matter expertise on the AN/BYG-1 combat system and related tactical control systems used aboard Navy submarines.Assist in system design, development, and testing to ensure operational requirements are met.Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and stakeholders to develop and refine system requirements and performance specifications.Conduct hands-on system evaluations, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions for system optimization.Develop, review, and update technical documentation, including system manuals, training materials, and maintenance procedures.Deliver training sessions and provide mentorship to Navy personnel and other stakeholders on the AN/BYG-1 system operation and maintenance.Participate in technical reviews, working groups, and program meetings to represent the operator's perspective.Support integration and testing activities at various locations, including Navy facilities and contractor sites.Provide feedback and recommendations for future system enhancements based on operational experience and emerging requirements.
