Job Description
The Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager-Supervisor oversees others providing direct behavioral health case management services to adults or children with serious mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and/or those whose involvement in the child welfare system requires behavioral health case management services.
The job responsibilities include but are not limited:
Supervision and consultation regarding all aspects of recipients of case management interventions.
Provide team leadership.
Plan supervision schedules, provide consultations in reference to guidelines of the policies, procedures, and requirements of the facility and maintain documentation of supervisions.
Assist with service planning.
Responsible (when applicable) to complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
Assist in planning for provisional services to the recipient as deemed appropriate by the team.
Ensures on-going communication and efficient reporting.
Serve as the liaison between the facility and the referring agency.
Represent the agency at any court hearing involving the recipient and elaborate reports based on team recommendations.
Write quarterly staffing reports based on input from the CQI Team.
Responsible for oversight of any on-going paperwork necessary to facilitate services while the recipient is in active status.
Skills
Ability to create and work in a treatment team context.
Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
Ability to develop helping relationships and implement intervention plans with children, families, and communities in cooperation with co-workers.
Ability to perform in a professional and ethical manner with the highest regard for recipient, families, communities, and co-workers.
Knowledge of community agencies and resources.
