Tax Director

We have a hybrid Tax Director role in industry with our privately held client in Seattle. Wonderful opportunity with a great company! Manages a small tax team and is responsible for in-house tax compliance (Federal, State and Local filings), tax provision, and tax planning. Heavy emphasis on partnerships. Must have good demeanor and communication skills to work with team, field, and owners.
Essential Responsibilities:Provide tax planning support for new business activitiesResponsible for the completion of federal and state income tax returns including all related analysis and supportResponsible for in-house preparation sales and use, general excise tax, real and personal property tax returnsResponsible for audits of federal and state and local filingsRespond to related tax correspondence and research issues as they arise and recommend courses of action as neededCalculate monthly tax reserve requirementPrepare the annual tax provision for financial reporting purposesOversee cost segregation studiesEnsuring that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for taxesEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required. Enrolled Agent or CPA preferred.A minimum of 7 years of related experienceA minimum of 3 years' experience managing staffStrong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, operations, upper management, and familyStrong verbal/written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCompensation up to $215k plus bonus.
