Tax Processing Specialist.
Pay rate: $18 to $20 an hour – Fully Remote and Equipment Supplied
*100% remote (sit anywhere in the US), need to be available during training, possible CST and EST time.
Once trained candidate can be very flex with the hours.
*Length of contract - six months with extension.
*Working 1 weekend a month during compliance period.
*Full-time and part-time ( 80 hrs a month). After they finish, they log off for the month.
*Open to someone who can work part-time. Just need to hit numbers and goals in the month.
*Flex on the bill rate
*Open to new grads with a finance major.
*Interviews - 1 interview lasting approximately 45 minutes.
*Vertex - laptop will be provided.
Ideal candidate: Time management, customer service experience. good with reconcile numbers and data entry, finance and accounting background. Tax background, is a huge plus! Will consider someone with more experience. Must know Excel. If they know SalesForce, that is a plus. Degree is preferred, not required. Sales Tax exposure, looking for 1-2 years of experience but do not need the sales tax experience. If someone had payroll tax experience, that would be nice to have.
What will they be doing? Part of the month to help them file clients returns and make payments for tax returns during compliance period (7th of the month or earlier up until 17th) Client facing role so someone with customer service experience, timely responds to requests. Assigned a book of clients. File about 400 returns.
Summary: The main function of the Tax Processing Specialist is to work closely with assigned clients that vary in size and complexity to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely filing of the clients monthly returns and payments. Job Responsibilities: Effectively communicate with clients and taxing jurisdictions via phone and e-mail. Format tax data for importing and processing in core software. Analyze tax data for accuracy, investigate questionable data and take corrective action when necessary. Confirm client approvals and process any requested changes. Maintain monthly tax calendars, reconciling and analyzing reports. Prepare and submit sales tax registrations on behalf of clients. Resolve notices from taxing jurisdictions. Participate in the implementation process for new clients. Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Knowledge of basic accounting processes and procedures. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in accounting or similar field or equivalent experience preferred. 0-2 years experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION Conduct Phone screens on candidates. Will support assigned TA Partner by phone screening candidates for salary requirements/fit/etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS Must be comfortable speaking with candidates & selling AW as a place to work! Ability to develop relationships both internally with hiring managers & HR and externally with candidates. Will need to be able to effectively manage various priorities and be organized in their work.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION / EDUCATION High school diploma; some recruiting experience desired; customer service skills a must!
