What you'll doDocusign is looking for a highly experienced and motivated Tax Director for Tax Provision and Reporting to manage and review the global income tax provision for Docusign's financial statements. This individual will also work closely with the Head of Tax in helping to implement global tax planning initiatives.
This position is a people manager role reporting to the Head of Tax.
ResponsibilityManage and review Docusign's quarterly and annual worldwide tax provision under ASC 740, including related UTP documentation, non-GAAP provision, tax footnotes and disclosures for Docusign's SEC financial statements.Manage and review Docusign's quarterly FIN 48 (i.e., uncertain tax position) work papers and memos.Manage and review Docusign's non-US statutory provisions and financial statements prepared under IA12 and local GAAP.Collaborate and engage with external auditors to ensure efficient financial statement close and tax SOX controls processes.Review month-end and quarter end balance sheet reconciliations for income tax accounts.Lead the forecast effective tax rate process.Monitor and advise on emerging US GAAP and Local GAAP guidance and income tax law changes that are relevant to Docusign.Identify potential areas of risk and opportunity related to the tax provision, and present summaries to internal teams.Supervise and develop staff on important tax and ASC 740 concepts and provide performance reviews and feedback.Maintain the income tax budget and assist with administrative matters.Partner with tax, accounting and finance teams within Docusign and outside service providers to ensure accuracy of data and timeliness of financial statement reporting.Contribute to the transformation of the income tax function to scale for growth, which includes tax technology, process simplification and standardization, and the use of data and technology.Lead and review the tax provision and reporting aspects of mergers and acquisitions, internal reorganizations, financial instrument issuances and settlements, and other specialty areas.Provide ad hoc support to the tax compliance and tax advisory teams on multiple business and tax-driven projects.What you bringBasicBachelor's degree, with emphasis in accounting or finance.CPA license and/or Masters of Taxation Degree.15+ years of income tax provision and compliance experience with a combination of public accounting firm and industry experience.Significant Experience with ASC 740 and US GAAP.PreferredExtensive experience with BEAT, GILTI, FDII, FTC, and Subpart F inclusions.Working knowledge of IFRS and IAS12.Project Management and work plan experience.Commitment to continuous improvement, excellent analytical skills and detail oriented.Wage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $171,500.00 - $277,025.00 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $164,800.00 - $232,750.00 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $164,800.00 - $242,225.00 base salary
Washington DC: $171,500.00 - $242,225.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
