POSITION TITLE: Technical Product Manager
POSITION DUTIES: A Technical Product Manager will be responsible for overall product strategy, funnel development, market analysis, and collaboration with both sales and engineering teams on various growth and technology goals.
This position requires a strong technical knowledge of life safety devices and experience in the production, marketing, and/or selling of these devices.
The ideal candidate will need to be able to think strategically and lead indirect resources to aid in goal accomplishment, while remaining technically competent in the detailed design implications of these products.
Specific duties are as follow:
• Product strategy based on electrical engineering knowledge and working with engineering team on technical advancements to products • Market share analysis of current product lines • Overall product strategy, research, and analysis of market data to recommend best strategic moves in light of technical requirements • Provide market, financial, and technical justification for product selection and definition • Collaborates with sales team to review current products throughout lifecycle to ensure attainment of objectives • Research products & services outside the current scope of business for potential growth opportunities • Develop or support development of conceptual designs for use in review with technical leaders for future NPD opportunities • Engages certain customer resources to better determine our value propositions • Cross functional support as needed for critical business needs
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
