As a Technical Project Manager, you'll serve as the bridge between technical teams and clients, translating client needs into actionable specifications while ensuring the delivery of high-quality datasets.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a commitment to quality, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Here's a breakdown of what you'll do (not all of it, just the important stuff): Translate client requirements into technical specifications for dataset variables.Standardize processes by developing and maintaining systems to ensure quality and consistency in dataset delivery, including variable recoding to meet client needs.Create and implement a standardized process for dataset inspection to confirm accuracy and completeness.Partner with internal teams to deliver high-quality work for major clients.Maintain strong relationships with clients, troubleshoot issues, and refine processes to meet expectations.Organize workflows.Design transparent and effective workflows, including clear plans, milestones, and deliverables.These are the essentials you'll need to get an interview: 3+ years of experience in project management, ideally within a market research vendor or agency.Familiarity with quantitative survey research and common data structures.Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously while setting clear priorities.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences.Proven ability to influence and collaborate across distributed teams without formal authority.Strong organizational skills, including creating processes to meet deadlines consistently.Self-motivation and proactiveness, with minimal need for supervision.Creative problem-solving mindset with a commitment to quality and attention to detail.It would be great if you had these too, but we'll support you if you don't: Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and resolving client requests.Proven ability to design processes and systems that ensure delivery milestones are met.Experience working in fast-paced environments, managing distributed teams, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Technical acumen to partner effectively with engineers and researchers while serving as the client-facing project lead.For roles based in California, New York, Colorado or Washington State, the base salary hiring range for this position is $100,000 - 125,000 USD.
Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
