OverviewDevTech is recruiting for a Technical Project Manager to work as part of an agile team, supporting our client, the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
The agile teams develop website products that use data and visualizations designed to improve awareness, availability, access, and capacity to transform the way our client collects, analyzes, and uses data to ensure development outcomes are supported by evidence.
The Technical Project Manager will support the full life cycle of implementing a data science solution; from requirements gathering through deployment to meet Agency and end-user needs.
The Technical Project Manager will use project management skills to estimate and track work, host coordination and status meetings, and manage risks and issues.
Projects vary from requirements gathering only, through design and development of new websites.
The majority of completed projects are hosted in cloud-based (Azure and AWS) environments.
ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and fully support client's SDLC processes, artifacts, and governance phase gatesAssist with capturing project objectives, scope and developing plans and schedules to support these objectivesLead, monitor, and motivate different teams across each project and interact with staff at all levelsAnalyze, plan, and develop project procedures as needed to ensure coordination and communication amongst project teams and client teamsDefine the roles and responsibilities along with various stakeholders for each projectParticipate in the allocation of staff and other resource needed to accomplish or achieve project goalsMaintain and manage project plans, schedule, risk & issue logs, meeting minutes, and communicate project status reportsEscalate risks and issues that affect a project's scheduleRecommend process improvements to help a project, team or organization improveReview proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestonesHold regular project team meetings to determine individual progress and address any questions or challenges regarding each projectQualificationsRequired qualifications include: Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related disciplineUS CitizenshipExcellent communication skills across a broad range of stakeholdersStrong leadership skills to effectively manage projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentalityWorking technical knowledge of website application developmentAt least 4+ years of relevant project management working experienceProfessional Project Management (PMP) CertificationExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising development teamsPreferred qualifications include: Knowledge and/or proficiency with at least one software development languagePrior experience working with one or more defined SDLC methodologiesAbility to build relationships across different organizationsCurrent Secret security clearance preferredPrior Platform-as-a-Service, Data Science project experience/knowledgeThe candidate must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for the required U.S. government security clearance for this project.
