Keller Schroeder, an information technology firm in Evansville, IN is seeking a PLC Network Technician for a direct hire opportunity with our client located in Evansville, IN. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting programmable logic control systems and software used in our manufacturing processes. Our client is unable to provide sponsorship at this time. Responsibilities: Install, set up, and configure programmable logic control network systems according to engineering specifications and project requirements. Conduct thorough testing of PLC network systems to ensure proper functionality. Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues as they arise, employing diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems efficiently. Perform routine maintenance tasks on PLC network and software systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. Diagnose and repair hardware and software faults or
malfunctions promptly to minimize production disruptions. Maintain accurate records of system configurations, network changes, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate reports and documentation as needed for compliance and reference purposes. Collaborate with IT and Manufacturing team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to keep PLC networks and systems running efficiently. Provide technical support and assistance to other departments as required. Train operators and maintenance personnel on the operation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of PLC software and hardware systems. Develop training materials and conduct
hands-on training sessions to increase staff proficiency. Stay informed about advancements in PLC technology and industrial automation trends. Requirements: Bachelor s degree in computer science or mechatronics or equivalent work experience preferred. Possess a robust working knowledge of the Microsoft SQL programming language. Proven experience as a PLC technician or similar role in an industrial environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and industrial control devices. Familiarity with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software desirable. Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to industry regulations and standards. Ability to work onsite in Evansville, IN. Possess valid driver s license. Ability to travel to plants in other states, approximately 30% travel. Availability to be on-call or troubleshoot system during production shutdown events.
