MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
1 year work experience in computerized accounting, purchasing, warehousing, shipping, receiving, stock inventory, or related work.
6 months of experience in a Warehouse and Accounting department.
Experience and knowledge of RUS construction standards, electrical, gas, water, wastewater, photovoltaic and fiber construction.
Experience with spreadsheets and databases.
Requires a Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle review).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES: Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, reports injuries/accidents immediately, demonstrates safe behavior at all times, especially when using company property and/or operating equipment or vehicles.
Assists in the tagging and numbering of company equipment or recording property location, description, date acquired and value.
Conducts warehouse, equipment and physical property inventories.
Assist in the overall process and maintenance of work orders for Electric, Water, Wastewater, Natural Gas, Photoelectric, Transformers and Meters.
Familiar with As-Built drawings for work order processing, transaction codes and report development.
Enters and retrieves data in mainframes and personal computers with proficiency and accuracy.
Checks both input and output data by visual, spot examination to ensure satisfactory condition of data input and output.
Obtains and files copies of the procuring supporting documentation of an asset that ensures the existence of company assets.
Maintains informational spreadsheets.
Prepares bills of lading and checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
May receive and unload incoming materials; compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks inventory which is shipped or received.
Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items.
Investigates missing inventory stock items.
Inventories material, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records in computer system.
Compares inventories to office records or computer figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, and purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
Develops and maintains computerized and manual inventory files.
Performs other duties as assigned.
