Duties and Responsibilities as Trade Compliance Analyst: Responsibilities will be defined and assigned by the Controller & Trade Compliance Manager and will include the following:Assist in ensuring the policies, processes and procedures outlined in FCTG's Import Compliance Program are followed by all RIFP employees.Assist in the development and implementation of corporate compliance policies and/or programs Assist the Trade Compliance Manager to ensure policies, processes and procedures are updated and current Provide company leaders and key stakeholders with Subject Matter Expert (SME) support Work with Trade Compliance Manager to identify, support, and lead opportunities for improvement in Trade CompliancePerform and Complete ACE Reports and Training as neededAssist in the management of Import Assessments & Compliance Improvement Plans (CIPs)Creates and Maintains operating companies import records to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and enable timely and efficient audit of all transactions for regulatory compliance.Maintain operating companies HTS Database of products, Including Country of OriginAssist in completion and review all operating company Import Compliance Packets to ensure that they are accurate, complete and to get ready for signoff as second review by Trade compliance Manager.  Must review packets to ensure checklist is complete and that PPQ-505 is right.Verify the information for and complete and sign all PPQ – 505 documents for the OPCO as required.Any Compliance Packets that are not complete or have issues, you will work closely with import operations team, mill, or import traders in order to get information to complete.Ensure that all Compliance Packets are completed initially within 7 days of being cleared through US Customs.  Participate with Controller on any audits that are conducted by FCTG, CBP, or any other governmental agency.Scanning and uploading compliance packets into internal databasing system for recordkeeping compliance requirements.Requesting and maintaining up-to-date certifications/documentation from foreign suppliers for pertinent laws and regulations (CARB/TSCA/PHYTOSANITARY/PS1-09/PS1-19).Inputting statistical information into internal database to provide proper forecasting and reports data.Continued education through certification courses to ensure competent thorough knowledge of import compliance is maintained.Attending training/conferences domestically within the contiguous United States as needed.Assist in any other special projects for Controller, President, or Trade Compliance Manager. EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 years of college education required, must have at least an associate's degree, bachelor's degree is preferred.General experience in business, auditing, supply chain, procurement, or related field is a plus for this positionExperience in Import Compliance, is a plus but not required for this positionAbility to identify, acquire, and analyze pertinent data to drive recommendations and decisions Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skillsAttention to detail and reviewing documents to find problems and discrepancies are key in this position.  Any issues you will need to follow up and resolve with assistance of manager Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision Positive demeanor with strong interpersonal skills Must be a team player who can lead and interact well with groups Prioritization and good organizational skills. Detail-oriented and proactive in management of projects and tasks.Good written & verbal communication skills.
