Job Description - TRAINING SPECIALIST (T221218) University of Alabama at Birmingham Job Summary The Training Specialist will train all onboarding employees in their respective department policies and procedures as well as those of UAB. This includes initial training on various screeners and assessments, including but not limited to ORAS, VPRAI, HSNA, UNCOPE, 10-point scale, MH brief screener, and database familiarity. The specialist will collaborate with the research and data department to source data, ensuring compliance with all governing entities through quality assurance reviews.
Responsibilities: Providing initial and ongoing trainings for all onboarding employees on all screeners and assessments used (ORAS, VPRAI, HSNA, UNCOPE, 10pt-scale, MH Brief Screener), as well as the database.Familiarizing onboarding employees with their department's and UAB's policies and procedures.Providing quality assurance by reviewing database entries.Compiling data and searching for errors, missed billing, continuity of care, and ensuring compliance with best practices.Collaborating with the research and data department to source and analyze data.Taking requests from department managers to ensure teams perform at the highest level and engage in best practices of case management.Maintaining overall quality management and training for department functions.Supporting organizational education and training by ensuring process definition and execution as required by established goals.Creating and maintaining policy and procedure and training manuals to support department functions.Supervising and conducting training for core trainers and staff within the assigned area to eliminate revenue loss and inaccurate data.Performing other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Health, or related field.
Salary Range: $45,395 - $73,770
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in a related fieldOne (1) year of related experience required.
