Transactional Attorney

The Transactional Attorney will lead the transactional-based legal efforts that make it possible for Life.Church to carry out its mission throughout the world. This role is primarily responsible for contract execution for the organization. This role will review and analyze submitted contracts and will draft new contracts as necessary. The Transactional Attorney will also shepherd the legal aspects of real estate transactions. This role will manage intellectual property rights and compliance, contribute to the analysis of data privacy matters impacting our organization internationally, and assist with providing risk and liability assessments on a broad range of ministry activities and subject areas. The Transactional Attorney is responsible for collaborating with their CTL to cast vision, provide direction, and lead ministry efforts within their area of influence to outcomes that further Life.Church's mission and reach people for Christ. \n What You'll DoLead contracts analysis and executionWork with the Contracts Coordinator to review and analyze all organizational contractsProvide support for direct reports through coaching, setting expectations, pastoral leadership, and regular 1-to-1 meetingsReview and analyze submitted contracts for potential points of liability, obligations, and key business termsIdentify legal risks and compliance of contracts, including regulatory and data privacy lawsDraft contracts where one is not already providedProvide analysis of significant contracts to leadership and obtain approvalUtilize the contract management system to review workflow and approval of contract termsLead through and coach others in navigating contractual negotiations in a manner consistent with Life.Church's beliefs and organizational valuesOversee legal aspects of real estate transactions and corporate governancePartner with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate, coordinate, and execute real estate and business acquisitions and salesSupport the corporate governance aspects of Life.Church, including organizational documents, structuring, business licensing, and registrationPartner on legal compliance efforts for global and local data privacy laws and regulationsInform and advise on the Global Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and its requirements, as well as other national and international data privacy lawsPartner with organizational leaders to bring awareness to legal data privacy requirements, helping incorporate data privacy solutions into new projects, products, and initiativesManage intellectual property strategies for the ChurchManage all aspects of Life.Church intellectual property strategies, including applications, renewals, and infringement actionsCoordinate with teams creating new intellectual property to ensure intellectual property rights are being preserved and maintained Skills Needed to SucceedAbility to self-motivate, make independent decisions and problem solve with innovationEffective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to changeExcellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnershipsEffective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure and provide vision to projectsStrong leadership skills and understanding on developing and guiding others Juris Doctor with a license in good standing to practice law2-5 years related experience preferred
