Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Level 2 Job Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Monday to Friday, between 7 am and 6 pm (8-hour shifts, start/end times can vary) Guaranteed Hours: Full-time, No weekends, no on-call, no holidays Experience: 2 years preferred, CT certification and PE/CT experience License: New York State License Required Certifications: - Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or - Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - BLS (American Heart Association) Certification Must-Have: - ARRT Certification with Continuing Education credits - Strong expertise in image quality management and radiopharmaceutical handling Job Description: - Review patient history and physician's orders. - Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. - Position patients and perform imaging procedures ensuring proper technique based on patient age and ability to understand. - Analyze results and identify issues with imaging quality and take appropriate action to resolve them. - Enter, transmit, and report scan results. - Handle radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and regulations. - Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status as appropriate. - Maintain inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.
