Certification Details BLS ACLS AZ state licensure PALS ATCN or TNCC Job Details This ER (Emergency Room) nursing position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma center or ER trauma environment. The candidate must be capable of passing a dysrhythmia exam and a simulation lab on the first day of orientation. Orientation materials including study guides will be provided. Job Requirements A full 2 years of ER/Trauma Level 1 experience is required, and this experience must be within the past 6 months. An active AZ license or compact license is needed, and the ability to work all shifts is mandatory without exceptions. Travelers may be required to float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert as needed. Schedule Information The position involves varied start times with Day/Mid shifts: 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 10a-10p, 11a-11p, 12p-12a, 1p-1a, and Night Shifts: 3p-3a, 5p-5a, 7p-7a. There is a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule period and a requirement to work 2 of 3 holidays during the holiday season. Unit Specific Information The ER unit includes 60 beds with 14 fast track points for bedside triage, moderate conscious sedation competency testing, and more. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 and has support from Charge Nurses, Unit Secretaries, Paramedics, and CNA's. Additional Details The facility is a certified stroke center and receives a high volume of various emergency cases such as trauma, MVAs, GSW, blunt trauma, piercing trauma, CVAs, heart attacks, and more. The ER sees about 80,000 visits per year and includes specialized care such as a chest pain center.
