SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Stroke certified- we give t-Pa, TNK, and transfer to PMC. Chest pain certified- only walk-in STEMI. Transfer to PMC cath lab for intervention. No trauma services, transfer to PMC. No dialysis services, transfer. We do not admit pediatrics, transfer. We care for the entire age spectrum. We have nurses and CNA's, MUR adn Paramedics. We have ED MD's and MLP's. Dedicated charge nurse 24/7. Can be overcapacity in house, thus ED MSU boarding occurs. Our cath lab performs intervention onsite paramedics in our department SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Alaris IV pumps Scanning for medications and lab specimens UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC SCHEDULING TYPE: Per Unit Needs UNIT ORIENTATION: 2- 12 hour shifts of orientation on the unit; Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.
