No Fast Track will see fast track patients out of waiting room.They may allow travelers to triage if they have experience. ED holds are housed in the main ED area. Psych holds are held in the ER there is not a separate area. Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Respiratory patients, Overdoses (heroin), geri-psych, typical ED population. They do not have an interventional cath lab in house. Nurse Aids/Paramedics/Patient sitters: ED Techs, Paramedics (used in Triage)EMR: MeditechRT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Does RT do ABG's, breathing tx, EGS's?: RT to manage vents, BiPap, treatments. Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: 6 monitored beds, monitors at nurses station, nurses are responsible for reading and monitoring telemetry. X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport?: Xray in the ED, Separate department containing additional Xray services and CT is not in the ED department. They have transporters until 11pm, after that nurses and techs will be responsible for transporting patients. Phlebotomy or nurse draw: Nurse draw on initial IV start.
