**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
**Job Specialty:** Electrophysiology Monitoring and Care (EMC)
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** Days, 4x10 Hour Shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 Hours Per Week
**Experience:** Minimum of 1 Year
**License:** Current RN License from a State Board of Nursing or a Multistate Compact RN License
**Certifications:**
- Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
**Must-Have:**
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
**Job Description:**
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients; observe physiological manifestations and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently.
- Interact with family and patient in sharing the care plan during hospital stay and at discharge.
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Basic computer skills.
**Preferred Education:** Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing from a Board Approved Program.
