**Job Title:** Nurse - Labor & Delivery/Mother Baby Nights **Job Specialty:** Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** 3x11.5 (Nights 7 PM - 7 AM) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not Specified **Experience:** Minimum 2 years **License:** RN **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NRP **Must-Have:** Ability to work every other weekend and holidays **Job Description:** - Provide direct and specialized care for newborns requiring close monitoring due to factors like premature birth, birth defects, or infections. - Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for high-risk newborns, utilizing advanced technology such as ventilators and incubators. - Monitor and maintain neonatal oxygen therapy and intravenous therapies. - Assess and monitor vital parameters using both non-invasive and invasive techniques. - Safely administer medications, ensuring accurate calculation, administration, and monitoring for side effects. - Fully support breastfeeding by encouraging pumping, using breast milk as available, providing privacy for feeding, offering encouragement, using resources for difficult feeding situations, and verifying identification of stored breast milk before use. - Participate in neonatal transport preparations and assure readiness. - Perform bedside urine testing and implement measures to decrease the risk of infant abduction. - Demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management and TPN administration for newborns.
