Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Unit Location: Klamath Falls, OR Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks  Shift: 3x12 Hour Night Shifts  Position Overview seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) for the Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Unit. This role involves delivering high-quality care to diverse patient populations with varying medical and surgical conditions. Key Details Start Date: 12/16/2024 Shift Length: 12 hours (Nights) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Unit Information Unit Name: Med-Surg Trauma Level: Level 3 Charting System: EpicCare Inpatient - EMR Patient Ratios: 7–8 patients per RN with nurse aids available Typical Diagnoses/Patient Types: Total joints General surgeries (including gynecological surgeries) General medical (CVA, PNA, CHF, ETOH, COVID, end-of-life care, etc.) Required Skills & Certifications Experience: Minimum of 2.5 years (excluding the first six months). Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) BLS (Basic Life Support) Technical Skills: General surgery experience required; total joint experience preferred. Must have prior experience with Epic Systems EMR. Ability to titrate insulin drips and read ECG strips.   Equipment & Procedures Equipment Used: v60 vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC). Monitoring: Central Monitoring Unit with 24/7 Monitor Tech support. RNs verify measurements and interpretations provided by MTs.
