**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-Hour Nights **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year **License:** Required to Submit **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) **Must-Have:** BSN Required **Job Description:** - Work in a 42-bed medical, surgical, and orthopedics unit. - Patient ratios typically range from 1:5 to 1:6. - Take a 1:6 patient ratio at least once a week. - Functioning as part of a team, with a charge nurse on each shift. - No titratable drips except for Heparin. - Respiratory Therapy is available 24 hours on the floor. - Centralized Telemetry station present on the floor. - Aides or patient care technicians available with a 1:10-12 ratio. - Work shifts of 0630-1900 or 1830-0700. - Weekend and holiday shifts required as needed. - No on-call or standby requirements. - Possibility of floating to PCU or Burn units. - Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. - First week includes classroom orientation followed by two 12-hour shifts on the floor. - Familiarity with the EPIC charting system required.
