Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience in a hospital setting License: Oklahoma RN license Certifications: ACLS & BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Oklahoma RN license - 2 years of recent PACU experience - ACLS & BLS certifications Job Description: - Provide care to Post Anesthesia Care patients in collaboration with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other personnel. - Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and Hospital policy and procedures. - Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment. - Anticipate and plan for the safe delivery of care. - Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education. - Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the available staff. - Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care. - Availability for weekday and weekend calls as needed. - Required to have OK fingerprints.
