**License:** Registered Nurse License Required
**Certifications:**
- Registered Nurse License from applicable Board of Nursing or Compact State Agreement (required before start)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (within 90 days of start)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (within 6 months of start)
- Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (preferred)
**Must-Have:**
- Ability to obtain a valid nursing license before the start
- Temporary RN license is accepted prior to start
- ND RN Graduate Work Authorization considered prior to start
**Job Description:**
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Maintain knowledge and skills necessary to cater to the age of patients served.
- Facilitate the coordination of patient care within the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide patient education to ensure safe discharge.
- Conduct daily rounds on all patients, ensuring quality customer service.
- Develop care plans based on assessments reflecting the comprehensive needs of patients.
- Assess conditions, set goals, and prescribe appropriate actions to meet patient needs.
- Promptly assess, intervene, and reassess patient pain symptoms, taking action as per standard procedures.
- Identify early warning signs of changes in patient conditions and respond appropriately.
- Assist with or implement emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in patient conditions.
- Report pertinent observations and reactions accurately to multidisciplinary team members.
- Ensure timely interventions or referrals are made.
- Complete and submit all incident reports before shift completion.
- Establish and maintain communication with patients and significant others.
- Initiate discharge planning, education, and counseling based on identified needs.
- Evaluate and document observations and actions according to standard procedures.
- Assign or delegate nursing interventions within the scope of practice based on competence.
- Perform additional duties as needed to meet departmental or organizational needs.

- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Bilingual skills are not required.
