**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical **Job Specialty:** Medical/Surgical **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience **License:** Registered Nurse **Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIH **Must-Have:** - Minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience - Skills in IV insertion, PICC/Central Line management, and use of PCA pump **Job Description:** - Work alternating weekends as part of the regular schedule - Manage and assess Dialysis Fistula - Collaborate with Respiratory Therapy to manage CPAP/BiPAP - Perform tracheostomy care and manage feeding tubes - Conduct continuous bladder irrigation and operate wound vac - Utilize various equipment including IV pumps, IPCD machines, Kangaroo pumps, PCA pumps, glucometer, Massimo pulse oximeter, and wound vac - Document patient information using EPIC Charting - Wear Galaxy Blue scrubs (not provided by facility) - Understand and interpret telemetry strips for patient monitoring - Handle mixed diagnoses involving both medical and surgical patients - Work in a unit with a 6:1 patient ratio - Benefit from support systems like CRN per shift, discharge nurse availability on dayshift, clinical pharmacists on weekdays, and a dedicated staffing coordinator This role offers a collaborative environment with multiple support systems and does not require medication titration.
