**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
**License:** Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology license from the Department of Health in any state or the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
**Must-Have:**
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school
**Job Description:**
- Provide quality speech and/or language therapy services to a predominantly Native American population for rehabilitation of patients with various developmental, cognitive, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities.
- Plan and administer medically based speech therapy for inpatient and outpatient contexts.
- Assess and interpret evaluations and test results for patients ranging in age from birth through geriatric and document in electronic health records.
- Determine speech therapy treatment plans by physician referral or consultation and set realistic treatment goals.
- Recommend and implement adjustments to therapy plans based on patient progress.
- Document results of patient assessments, treatment, follow-up, and termination of services.
- Select and construct therapies according to patient goals and needs.
- Instruct patients, families, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures/therapies or home programs for therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities.
- Provide specialty services that include swallowing evaluation, Videofluoroscopy (VFSS), Modified Barium Swallowing (MBS), Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), cognitive treatment, voice treatment, pediatric speech/language therapy, and pediatric feeding evaluation.
- Participate in specialty clinics like Geriatric Clinic and Assistive Technology/adaptive equipment evaluation/treatment.
- Assist in the direction and development of speech therapy services including quality improvement, risk management, and safety.
- Comply with federal and state speech therapy certification requirements and adhere to policy and procedures.
- Follow the American Speech-Language Hearing Association guidelines and Scope of Practice.
- Provide training and in-services for students and staff education.
- Consult with the Physical Rehabilitation team and other healthcare workers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges.

- Orientation available every two weeks.

- Familiarity with EMR system, Allscripts.
- Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to the start date.
- No religious exemptions for COVID; medical exemptions require approval from the medical review board.
