Truss DesignerWe are looking for a detail oriented and experienced Truss Designer to join our well-established team!The Truss Designer will be responsible for creating complete and accurate Truss Placement Plans andTruss Design Drawings for custom commercial and residential building projects. As the Truss Designer,you will also work closely with other Truss Designers, as well as, communica ng and discussing changesor design issues with architects, engineers, and clients in the construc on industry.Job Type: Full Time, On-siteResponsibilities for the Truss Designer:• Exercise complete aten on to detail to create complete and accurate Truss Placement Plansand Truss Design Drawings (TDD).• Design roof trusses, floor trusses, and pre-engineered wood products with design so ware,CAD, and other suppor ng component design so ware.• Follow Building Codes to ensure the safety of the design while mee ng industry standards.• U lize advanced math skills for calcula ng lengths, weights, angles, and technical knowledge ofCAD so ware and other related computer programs.• Read and interpret Architectural and Structural plans and recognize poten al plan problems andvisualize solu ons.• Communicate with clients during the design process.• Provide explana ons and interpreta ons of designs through a review process.• Involved in repair designing, coordina on of field issues, communicates with Construc onManagers/Superintendents.• Research industry documents on products, building codes, and construc on techniques fordesign solu ons and con nual learning.Requirements of the Truss Designer:• Minimum 3-5+ years of Truss Design and Draft experience in the Construction and BuildingMaterials industries.• Highly proficient in MiTek software• High School Diploma or GED Certificate• Industry knowledge and experience in Construction and Building Materials• Ability to manage and complete tasks on time.• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
