Due to our expansive growth, the Daily Wire is seeking a VP, Marketing, Consumer Products! This position will lead development, oversight and execution of the short and long-term multi-level marketing strategy driving quarterly acquisition campaigns across our portfolio of rapidly expanding consumer products (CPG & FMCG) such as Jeremy's Razors, Mayflower Cigars, The Candle Club, Daily Wire Shop, and more. The VP, Marketing, Consumer Products will be accountable for brand strategy, creative development and storytelling, production, and integration and measurement across all media channels including social, digital, video/television, audio/radio, CRM, partnerships and activations in close collaboration with the wider marketing team and external agency partners. The VP will oversee a Director of Product Marketing, ensuring all communications are grounded in consumer target(s), communication objectives and business goals. Together, they will synthesize consumer, competitive, marketplace and cultural insights to refine and optimize how our brand connects with customers holistically, inclusive of both everyday channel strategies and broad, integrated marketing programs and product launches. The ideal candidate for this position has a combination of creative development, brand and media experiences across multiple businesses, categories or industries, both working for brands or nimble agencies. They should also bring a proven track record of success developing consumer-led, insight-driven and cross-channel marketing programs and creative campaigns, and a passion for building culture and developing high-performing teams. This is a new position; the ability to self-start and make an immediate impact is critical. The right candidate will be highly entrepreneurial, thriving in a fast paced environment with a clear understanding of how to lead within a capsule business unit revenue positive P&L. The right candidate will have a breadth of eCommerce experience across consumer lifestyle goods and subscription products. As a content-driven company, we are also seeking a candidate with experience working with news and entertainment talent to build brand & product extensions that resonate with their core audiences. The role will be hands-on working with influencers & on-air talent to endorse consumer products through integrated UGC campaigns. RESPONSIBILITIES - Partner with the President of Consumer products and the CMO to build and execute multi-year growth strategies for the consumer products division. - Develop and implement an omni customer-led marketing strategy –– with clear KPIs –– that deliver on acquisition and retention goals while building brand love. - Build a marketing culture that champions/is oriented around the customer, driven by insights, measurement and always on optimization. - Synthesize priorities and build comprehensive plans to drive demand – effectively allocating and managing budget and resources to maximize brand impact on sales, profit & valuation. - Works cross-functionally with the marketing leaders of Performance Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, Creative, and Communications to build and execute short and long-term customer acquisition strategies. - Maximize and grow our position with conservative audiences aligned with the mission of our company. - Set a calendar of key promotional beats for each product line, aimed at maximizing all annual paid, earned and owned customer touch points. - Develop best in class retail, social and digital storytelling and experiences that are disruptive and push the brand forward in new ways. - Lead innovation in social strategy –– leveraging creators, influencers and platform led ideas to drive brand relevance within target audiences and personas from casual content consumers to dedicated subscribers. - Collaborate with Partner Marketing & Ad Sales Marketing to create opportunities with brand partners that drive mutual business results. - Actively drive and build authentic communities at the local level, creating plans with national reach and measurable local impact. - Grow and develop a high performing team of internal and external resources (marketers, web developers, copywriters, graphic designers, producers, directors, photographers, etc). - Experience and comfort level working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment where speed, rolling up your sleeves and self-sufficiency are key to success. QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field - Minimum 10 years Marketing experience with 10+ years in leadership roles - eCommerce retail experience and ideally subscription experience - Experience driving customer acquisition and retention - Research experience in quant and qual to build customer personas and identify sales and merchandise opportunities - Extensive brand strategy, campaign briefing, development, execution and management - Effective cross-functional collaboration and partnership across a variety of internal partners: performance marketing, loyalty/membership, creative, PR, finance, etc. - Enthusiastic, motivated, innovative, creative team player
