The VP of Clinical and Quality Services assumes the corporate lead for efficient and compliant clinical and quality services within our short-term acute care hospitals and clients; is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, direction and oversight to Chief Nursing Officers in their daily operations and direction of nursing/clinical services; provides education and support to facility nursing leadership; completes clinical assessments of hospitals and clients and provides recommendations for improvement. Oversees the oversight (via the CHC Quality Director) of Quality Directors in their daily operations and direction of the respective facility quality department.

The VP participates in facility monthly operations reviews, business development activities (including potential client meetings/calls) and assists in the development and presentation of proposals for consulting and management services to hospitals.
Major Responsibilities Provides oversight and support as a resource for clinical and quality activities at CHC short term acute care (STAC) facilities.Maintains up to date knowledge or utilizes acceptable resources on current benchmarks, standards of care, as well as state, federal and accrediting agency requirements.Provides leadership and oversight of PRN clinical and quality consultants.Develops and maintains education and training to promote current clinical practice among the workforce that encourages professional growth. Participates in CHC's yearly budget and business planning process.Serves in a leadership role in organizational quality initiatives and is available to assist in improving organizational metrics which would include public outcome scorecards.Plans and implements efficient and productive meetings to address issues with reporting and quality outcomes, new regulatory requirements, etc.Provides training for staff and leadership as needed or requested regarding staff relationships, physician interactions, care management, leadership skills, etc. Assists with the orientation of Chief Nursing Officers for the CHC hospitals. Provides final approval and oversight of the prep and mock survey process for STAC facilities.Assumes responsibility for personal, professional development, and conduct.Develops and maintains a working relationship with members of the administrative teams, Boards and other healthcare agencies.Ensures that a Clinical and Quality Newsletter is formulated and distributed quarterly. Ensures that the Quality Director oversees the annual physician survey, quarterly HCAHPS surveys, and every other year culture of safety survey for all owned/leased facilities. Conducts monthly all CHC STAC facility CNO calls. Ensures that there are monthly CHC Quality calls for all facilities. Conducts one on one calls with CNO's at least monthly.
