The successful candidate will be a collaborative and empathetic leader, responsible for championing the growth and innovation of the organization's people operations.
This role requires an individual with a deep commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and access, and a passion for the advancement of science, discovery, and education.
The VP of People and Culture will be tasked with leading a talented team of HR professionals, developing and implementing strategic HR plans, and promoting a high-performance workplace culture.
They will also be expected to serve as a trusted advisor to the President and CEO, assess and enhance HR policies, and ensure the organization is a leader in talent development and management practices.
Applicants should have a minimum of seven years of senior-level experience in HR, with a proven track record in areas such as employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
Experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly with a focus on science, arts, or culture, is advantageous.
The role demands a leader with strong emotional intelligence, executive presence, and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
The VP of People and Culture will be at the forefront of initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion, improve the employee experience, and increase staff retention.
They must also be adept at building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally, and have the ability to influence and drive change effectively.
