SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing leadership and administrative oversight by coordinating the activities of the assigned business unit.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all marketing, sales, purchasing of refined product supply and customer relations for a significant portion of one of the company's business units.
Has profit and loss responsibility.
Business may operate in multiple locations and may have operational responsibilities, pricing (revenue) authority, and/or purchasing authority.
Provides top management with accurate and timely market information.
Identifies and develops strategies for new business opportunities.
Increases market share through expansion of current customer base.
Develops new markets and product lines.
Develops and maintains business relations with customer base.
EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, sales & marketing, engineering, or a related field; or a combination of post-high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE:

10+ years general business experience in the Sales and Marketing of Refined Products, NGL Products, or Chemicals. Experience in the Pacific Basin preferred. Logistics experience a must.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, with proven experience in developing, improving, and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives.
COMPETENCIES:

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners.
Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop changes or alternatives.
Ability to prepare, monitor, and administer budgets, as well as the ability to perform financial analysis.
Ability to function effectively with, or as part of, a team.
Ability to indirectly mentor, coach, train, and/or supervise employees.
Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization.
Ability to provide subject matter expertise, counsel, and effectively influence others at various levels within the organization.
Knowledge of and ability to conduct need, trend, feasibility, and performance assessments.
Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles, and practices of change management.
JOB SCOPE:

Position impacts multiple business units/segments. Works throughout Alaska, Arctic Canada, Northern British Columbia but not limited to this geography. Travel up to 40% of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor, and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
