This is a remote role although East Coast applications are preferred due to customer locations. Ideally you will come from a background in Diagnostics, IVD, OEM or Life Sciences Sales.
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing, your role involves:
Developing and implementing strategic plans to expand business with both current and potential diagnostic and life sciences clients. Manage and grow your personal sales pipeline for engineering, contract manufacturing, and service projects.
Representing the company at trade shows, conferences, and other events in collaboration with the marketing team and the Application & Sales Support team to boost market visibility and attract new customers.
Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers across Business, Marketing, Engineering, Research, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain at all levels of management.
Strategically positioning the company's engineering, manufacturing, and service offerings to these clients and contacts.
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in close partnership with the Application & Sales Support team.
Developing persuasive value propositions and quotes in collaboration with other departments and executive management, and partnering with external companies.
Closing initial sales and negotiating the terms of the first contracts.
Demonstrating entrepreneurial thinking and actions with a focus on delivering value to customers and capturing value for the company.
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or Engineering is preferred.
More than 6 years of experience in B2B business development for a product and services company, ideally within Diagnostics, IVD and life sciences research sectors.
Proven track record of a customer-focused approach with strong capabilities in building and maintaining long-term business relationships.
Experience in implementing complex sales strategies with global corporations, startups, and innovative, fast-growing SMEs.
Demonstrated success in securing and closing sales for advanced technological solutions.
Exceptional communication skills, including expertise in intercultural exchange, presentations, negotiations, and influencing.
Advanced managerial skills, including planning, organization, decision-making, problem-solving, and project management.
Willingness to travel approximately 20-30%.
