Role Overview:  This position owns the ERP solutions, one of PDI's primary lines of business of over 40 years. Within the ERP suite of solutions includes retail chain convenience store back office/home office ERP products and wholesale ERP products
Key areas of focus include full ownership and success of the global product P&L for the ERP solution category, global market share expansion in existing markets and market penetration into new areas, competitive assessments and strategies, , solution concept development and innovation, product lifecycle management (PLM) execution, global solution deployment and customer success.
This position is responsible for long term strategic planning for market development and solution development of the solution category. This Vice President is also responsible for working closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, Operations, Development, Support, Services, Finance, and Customer Success.
\n Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for full product P&L ownership and market share expansion of the ERP Solutions businessEstablish and maintain the vision for solutions commensurate with corporate growth/profit goals and market trends/demandsLead product strategy and roadmaps for the portfolio of ERP products and the future state of the business lineDrive product integration and product rationalization strategies for acquired companies/productsRoutinely engage with customers to understand their businesses and provide solutions to address their current and anticipated future needsDemonstrate commitment to customer successManage cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organizational environmentHas responsibility for product and service strategy, benchmarking, partnerships, proposals, M&A activity, and R&D investmentsWork collaboratively with product management, sales, professional services, support, operations, engineering, marketing and finance to drive solution strategyAlign with Marketing on lead generation and pipeline building activitiesLead speaking engagements with media and industry related eventsCustomer engagement, escalations and disputes resolutionManage the life cycle of key products or product setsDrive sales enablementProvide strategic direction and support to key partnersProvide strategic direction on merger and acquisition activity to ensure a complement to existing productsAdeptly manage through conflict situations within the business, maintaining key relationships while doing soSegment and size the market for various products across the industry category.  Identify key growth opportunities and deployment segments. Focus on global deployment and market penetrationLead and deliver on market, wallet and mind share increases in line with targetsUnderstand the key attributes of competitors in the retail convenience and wholesale energy supply chain vertical, i.e. understands their profit pools and approach to the market; identify necessary improvements to be more competitive; provide our sales people the tools to beat the competitionLead the strategic long-range planning for the solution categoryDrive quantitative results (revenue, margin) and shared success for Logistics solutions globallyOperate at a strategic level and manage at a detailed level Qualifications10-12+ years hands-on experience in product/solutions management within the energy supply chain.Strong track record of growing businesses by bringing new products to market and increasing market share.Experience in leading, growing, and managing a portfolio of products.Experience coaching, mentoring, and growing directs as well as cross functional teams. Proven leadership experience.Experience in people management commensurate with the role.Product P&L experience.Significant experience and desire to remain in a customer/market-facing role; experience building strong customer relationships.Ability to effectively communicate and relate to all roles ranging from senior level executives to individual contributors, both internally and externally.Ability to establish relationships with key customers and partners in the industry.Solid marketing skills, including messaging, writing, and public speaking.Ability to be creative, as well as analytical, organized and detail-oriented.Ability to work independently and handle high pressure situations.Ability to assert position and influence decision makers to execute solution strategy.Adept at networking externally and internally to build relationships and influence actions.Demonstrates break-through thinking.Willingness to travel, significantly at times to customers, prospects, industry events, and internal meetings as required Preferred QualificationsUndergraduate degree preferred Significant industry experience in convenience retail or fuel wholesale– Secondary Fuel Distribution experience preferred.
