Summary
This role affords a significant opportunity for an experienced Human Resources/Labor Relations professional to impact the organization and multiple project sites by supporting the development and implementation of labor relations strategies which are vital to safe and successful construction operations and further a sustainable employee engagement strategy.
Success in this role is defined by significantly collaborating with operational and project-based leaders as well as external Labor Relations practitioners to build long term relationships within the renewable energy and civil construction industry. The goal is for the organization to be viewed as one of the top Union Affiliated Employers in the construction industry.
Position Responsibilities
Acts as company spokesperson and negotiation team leader in labor negotiations.
Implements bargaining strategies that enable business objectives using a collaborative and integrative approach with key senior leadership and other Human Resource functions.
Provides guidance, support and direction in effective and timely dispute resolution including grievance and arbitration management and labor management cooperation.
Effectively partners with legal counsel and HR business partners.
Identifies the creation, application and interpretation of labor relations policies and procedures and directs and supports the delivery of "best practices" solutions for addressing a wide range of labor relations issues which may impact Company business plans.
Creates credible, supportive, and trust-based relationships with direct reports, peers and with all internal and external customers and business partners.
Conducts and/or collaborates with union and project management in workplace investigations.
Partners with HR leadership, project management, and site supervisory teams to establish best practices, policies and procedures that ensure compliance to federal, state, and local labor laws but also align with all Union contracts.
Is a voice of safety compliance and driving a safety-centric culture always and with all leaders, union partners and employees.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related degree
Minimum 10 years in Human Resources Management in Union Environments
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Labor Relations and HR in the Construction Industry
Experience in negotiating Labor Agreements and Arbitration
Minimum of 5 years' experience in grievance procedure administration including settlement negotiations and preparation of arbitration presentations
Minimum of 5 years' experience conducting investigations
Conflict management experience
Proficient with Microsoft office tools
PREFERENCES
SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certified
