As the VP of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of our engineering department, composed of more than 300 experts. You will oversee and manage the engineering team, technological innovation, project planning, and execution.
As VP of Engineering, you will:Supervise, lead, and inspire a team of engineers and engineering managers to achieve common goals.Contribute to developing and implementing the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering projects while adhering to timelines and budgets.Encourage and support innovation within the engineering team, identifying new opportunities and exploring emerging technologies.Work closely with other departments, including product, sales, and support teams, to ensure effective communication and consistent achievement of company objectives.Manage the engineering department's budget, ensuring efficient resource utilization.Identify opportunities for process and engineering practice improvement to maximize operational efficiency.Recruit, train, and develop engineering team members to enhance skills and promote professional growth.What will contribute to your success:At least 10+ years of experience in product-based organizations with web technologies (GoLang, MongoDB, Kafka, NodeJS, ReactJS, Python).A solid experience in international and fast-paced working environments and cultures, including a working period in a lead engineer role(s) in a foreign country, in North America or Europe.Ability to work efficiently in multicultural environments and with remote teams.Experience in working with startups will be an added advantage.Currently in a Senior Director/Senior Engineering Manager/VP role with at least a similar scale of organization.Openness to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies/industry trends.Passionate about technology and craftsmanship.Excellent team-building and team-management skills - open-mindedness to understand their followers' motivations, hopes, and problems so the team can forge a deep personal connection with you.Excellent communication skills and team player mindset.What we offer:A unique opportunity to join an international and collaborative scale-up environment in a hyper-growth context.Brevo offers an Ownership Plan, which is inspired by ESOP or stock programs.
