REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers.
With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

We have over $9B in orders from some of the industry's largest operators and are hard at work getting our full-scale, human-carrying prototype on the water next year.
REGENT is seeking a VP of People to develop and implement long-range human resources strategies to support the company's mission and overall business goals.
In this role you will oversee all aspects of People and Talent, including organizational development, talent acquisition and management, legal and policy compliance, and labor relations for both exempt and non-exempt workforces.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in people operations management within a high-growth, fast-paced environment, ideally in aerospace, manufacturing, or a related industry.

Roles & Responsibilities:Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of People will guide and facilitate REGENT's scaling from 90 employees today to thousands over the coming years distributed across engineering and production, and operational support across our global order book.Organizational Development Provide executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization and support business goals through long-term talent management strategies.Identify key performance indicators and assess the organization's success and market competitiveness based on this data-driven approach.Advise executive leadership on crisis and change management initiatives.Participate in and advise upon strategic resource planning activities, leveraging industry heuristics to drive long-term business modeling.Human Resources Management Develop and implement human resources policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with REGENT's business strategy.Evaluate and implement competitive compensation, benefits, and employee incentive programs to meet the needs of a high-performance workforce.Manage the People & Culture and Talent teams, including budget, staffing, and team growth.Talent Management Develop long-range strategies to attract, retain, and cultivate top talent.Oversee onboarding and training programs to ensure new hires are integrated effectively.Implement learning and development, career mobility, and other retention strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.Establish and manage the performance management activities, succession planning, and related core processes.Oversee performance management programs that balance long-term goals with a rapidly evolving, fast-paced environment.Legal and Policy Compliance Regularly review and update company policies to ensure they adhere to state and federal laws and regulations.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and employment standards.Guide on legal issues related to employment and labor relations.Employee Relations Ensure fair and consistent application of labor policies and practices for exempt and non-exempt employees and contingent workforce.Negotiate labor contracts and handle disputes and grievances.Oversee employee relations, manage conflict resolution, and conduct investigations as necessary.Advise managers on labor and employee relations issues, such as wages, salaries, benefits, and management practices.Collect and maintain documents and records for contract and policy development, investigations, and negotiations.Required Skills and Qualifications:Minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven experience in a high-growth startup environment, preferably in the aerospace or technology industries.Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices including employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.Strong experience managing both exempt and non-exempt employees.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex situations and conflict resolution.IT savviness with experience leveraging the latest software tools to streamline HR and Talent, including implementation of ERP systems.Ability to "roll up sleeves" and take ownership of a process or tool when needed – not looking for a "hands-off manager."A strong foundation of business fundamentals, including a data-driven mindset and thorough understanding of key business drivers and their measurement.Desired Skills and Qualifications:HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) and/or business degree.Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably manufacture of vehicle or other complex hardware assembly.Background in labor relations with exempt and non-exempt workforces.
