VP of Product Management Responsibilities:Ensure company as a whole is building, shipping, and supporting the right productHolistic understanding of the product and how it makes the company successfulShape, define, and articulate product requirements and vision both verbally and in product documentation, melding requirements across various functions and teams to make sure individual unit objectives are met and in line with the company's overall planWork with the leadership team to define detailed metricsAct as the conduit between the product team and the leadership teamParticipate when needed on daily product standups and monitor team cadence. Help unblock issuesSell product vision both internally and externally. Company buy-in is just as important as customer adoption. Drive employee participation and inputProactively solicit customer feedback and understand current customer wants and needsPredict future wants and needs before customers are even aware they have themCreate and manage a detailed product roadmap tied to concrete business goals and revenue projections. Prioritize new features and triage high-level bugsTie multiple new products into the company's overall plan, helping drive product launches through collaborationManage product life cycle, and internal and external constituents; ability to do this equally well in the early-stage and through product maturity (i.e. product build at scale)Identify and assess opportunities for product development or extensions based on market and data driven analysis; present those ideas to various levels within the organizationKeep finger on pulse of the market and be able to anticipate industry shifts before they happen. This includes an understanding of competitors' strengths and weaknessesCreate and socialize key metrics and reporting to track product success; ability to pivot product.
