Shift Time: 1st Shift Shift Days: Monday through Friday weekly Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM OPERATOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Ensure all safety practices are in place and followed Perform daily rounds and record data Monitor system and make process adjustments as needed to maintain permit compliance Calibrate probes and maintain chemical feed system Clean inline basket strainers Check all equipment for cleanliness and proper operation Maintain inventory of chemicals and supplies Train backup operators Collaborate with JLL/Pfizer management and onsite personnel to determine best practices and upgrades Housekeeping of the WWTP equipment and shelters OVERALL ROLE The WWTP Operator will assist the Facilities Supervisor & Hard Services Manager to operate & maintain the WWTP and the repairing of equipment that belongs to the WWTP system on site. The Facility WWTP Operator is also required to provide handyman support to the team when required. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain the treatment plant systems Maintain and operate the filtering and chemical treatment processes Inspect, service and repair components of the water treatment plant including water intakes, piping, water storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment controls, circulation pumps, boilers, heat exchangers and valves Prepare work orders for servicing and repairs Arrange for major repairs Inspect the treatment plant systems daily to ensure effective operation CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Ideal Experience Prior experience in WWTP operation * Minimum license requirement - Massachusetts Grade 1 Industrial (full status) Knowledge of WWTP equipment repairing and maintenance Ability and knowledge in the use of all tools, equipment, and material used for repairs Service oriented attitude Basic Working knowledge of computers Ability to follow timetables for repairs Critical Competencies for Success Client Focus & Relationship Management Able to interact with the general client staff & vendors with ease Demonstrates ability to work with team & vendor to deliver efficient services Demonstrates proactive & professional approach to customer service Has a customer-oriented attitude Project Management & Organizational Skills Proven ability to manage multiple and complex operational matters daily Demonstrates ability to prioritize and manage the completion of projects in an efficient and timely manner EHS requirement Follow all JLL & Pfizer EHS Governance & Framework.
