Job Summary:
The primary responsibility for a Desktop Deployment Technician is to deploy systems to end users in an organization. The technician may take on additional roles focusing on using technology. These may include VPN deployment, corporate intranet setup, and software installation as well as Level 2 Desktop Support in addition to Windows 11 deployment. Candidate should have Windows 11 deployment experience as well as SCCM.

Responsibilities: The technician will work in coordination with operations, PC Lab, and Helpdesk resources to troubleshoot any technical issues.Handle customer pre and post-deployment issues and errors related to the migration process.Install requested applications and peripherals on user machines.Replace old PCs and upgrade to new devices with Windows 11.Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10 and Windows 11.Re-image Windows 11 onto machines from Windows 10.Assist all users with any logged IT-related incidents when called upon.Take ownership of issues by conducting problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes.Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system.Install and configure new IT equipment.Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.Resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners.Maintain a first-class level of customer service.Keep track of issues related to patches, features, deployment, and permissions.Assist in Data Migration and identify deployment-related issues.Image/re-image new and existing desktops and laptops. The Deployment Technician focuses on ensuring that computers and peripherals are secure and that users have the correct software. Correctly managing image files and inventories is essential. A qualified candidate must have hands-on experience with imaging, deploying machines, and troubleshooting.
The technician should be well-versed with building and setting up desktop computer systems and have experience with SCCM. They will conduct recovery and preventive maintenance procedures, run diagnostic or repair routines, and provide technical assistance.
The professional is responsible for software deployment to networked computers and should have an in-depth understanding of Microsoft Applications. They will audit the system and network, ensure excellent cable management, and submit weekly timesheets to senior professionals.
Additional Responsibilities Include: Using Active Directory to manage accounts, profiles, and policies.Assist in deploying desktop workstations and laptops throughout the organization.Create and provide reports to supervisors and team members detailing the status of PC deployments and the location of organizational assets.Configure settings on Windows workstations.Perform backups & restores of data.
