Under the supervision of the Director of Outpatient Nursing, the Nurse Manager, and the Regional Center Director, this Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position will work within a behavioral health and primary care integrated outpatient setting.
This CMA will support the nurses and providers to ensure smooth clinical flow and the individual's appointments are on time. This position will work in collaboration with providers and the nursing team to assist with medication refills, health-related education to assist individuals with maintaining stability in the community, medication administration, phlebotomy, and other point of care lab testing as ordered by the providers.
This CMA will also take vital signs, heights, and weights for each individual. This CMA may be responsible for supporting the clinic with ordering supplies, ensuring compliance with the medication storage room, and other clinical tasks as assigned by the Nurse Manager or clinic nursing staff. This CMA will support the Texas Vaccines for Children (TVFC) program. This CMA may be responsible for supporting administration duties alongside our Customer Service Representatives to ensure efficient clinic workflow.
This CMA position performs responsible delegated clinical work in the assigned locations. This position is responsible for the care and treatment of individuals in accordance with accepted professional, legal, and ethical nursing standards.
This position will be responsible for reporting to work at any of the assigned outpatient clinics, Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. This CMA must have the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
