DescriptionJob Title: Food Industry Packaging WorkerJob Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Food Industry Packaging Worker to join our team.
The successful candidate will ensure the quality and accuracy of our food packaging products.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a food industry setting and basic mathematical skills.Responsibilities:- Ensure the quality and accuracy of food products- Perform basic mathematical calculations to calculate averages- Use manual dexterity to perform repetitive movements such as twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, and reaching- Lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally- Remove and unload packaged cheese and feed cheese onto conveyors and/or place cheese into master cartons and/or onto pallets- Monitor quality cheese packaging and labeling, print quality, and accuracy of printed codingRequirements:- High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) is preferred- Previous employment in a food industry setting is preferred- Stable and dependable work history is required- Basic mathematical skills are required (must be able to calculate averages)- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Manual dexterity- Vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus)- Ability to push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally- Ability to stand for entire shift- Ability to perform repetitive movements (e.g.
twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching)The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
