Lecturer A/2 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month
Lecturer B/3 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,221 – $13,224 per month
Lecturer C/4 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,825 – $14,523 per month
Lecturer D/5 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $8,593 – $15,211 per month

Position Summary:
The Anthropology Department in the College of Behavioral and Social Science is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2024-25 academic year. We seek to fill Anthropology courses level 100 through 400 and internships in our four subfields: Archaeology, Biological, Cultural and Museum Studies. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
Minimum Qualifications:
The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is Master of Arts or Science in Anthropology or a related field. Appropriate expertise and experience teaching for assigned courses. Prior experience in teaching and working with colleagues from diverse ages, socioeconomic, cultural and academic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Anthropology or degree in closely related field to courses interested in teaching. Bilingual candidates will be given preference.
Responsibilities:
Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching undergraduate courses in at least one of the subfields, supervising internships, maintain office hours, and uphold campus academic policies and procedures. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.

The Department:
The Department of Anthropology enrolls approximately 180 majors, undergraduate and graduate. It is committed to the four-field approach and offers certificate programs in Museum Studies, Applied Cultural Anthropology, Cultural Resources Management, and Forensic Science. The department also supports a respected MA program producing graduates that have gone on to distinguished doctoral programs or obtained relevant employment.
