The 2025 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will begin June 9th, 2025 and run through August 14, 2025
Our standard working hours are Monday – Friday (37.5 / 40 hours per week)

Your key responsibilities
Support food technologists in product development activities (flavor screening, formula iterations, setting up tastings, gathering tasting data, etc.) in beverage category.
Organoleptically evaluate and describe market products, applied samples, and products in-development.
Support pilot plant runs in a food-safe environment.
Prepare and ship finished samples to customers and affiliate locations.
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experienc

Strong Attention to Detail: Ability to follow protocols accurately, maintain precise measurements, and avoid errors in experiments or data recording.
Basic Laboratory Skills: Familiarity with common lab equipment techniques relevant to the field.
Good Communication Skills: Ability to clearly document results, ask questions when needed, and effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
Adaptability and Willingness to Learn: Open-mindedness toward new techniques and methods, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing tasks or lab environments.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot experimental issues and suggest improvements or solutions.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize activities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven lab environment.
