Job Description: Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on various metal alloys, primarily focused on aerospace-grade materials, such as aluminum, titanium and stainless steel Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications to ensure the correct application of welding techniques and to meet manufacturing tolerances Adhere to D1.1 welding codes and standards during all weld operations, ensuring work meets the required quality, strength and safety parameters Set up welding machines and equipment according to the specifications and regularly maintain equipment to ensure smooth operation and optimal performance Inspect and test welded joints using non-destructive testing methods (e.g., visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, etc.) to verify the integrity of welds Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues Work closely with engineering, production and quality assurance teams to meet deadlines, resolve issues and optimize production processes Identify opportunities for process improvements, such as techniques, tools and materials, to enhance welding efficiency, productivity and quality Accurately document and report all welding work, inspections and quality checks, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry regulations and company standards Position Requirements: Proficient in MIG welding techniques, with a deep understanding of materials, welding symbols and tolerances Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings, blueprints and welding specifications Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, quality requirements and safety regulations Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending and lifting as required by the role Strong focus on precision and quality control, with an eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds Clark Personnel does not just connect you with a job; we offer a Professional Mentoring & Education Program to help you be great at your job, love it, and grow.
