ARSIEM is looking for a Senior Database Manager .
This position will support one of our government clients in Ft. Meade, MD.
Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deliver database systems Manage life cycle support of database systems: apply patches and upgrades; diagnose and resolve problems; monitor and improve performance; migrate data from legacy systems to modern systems.
Design and manage backup and recovery processes and continuity of operations plans.
Select appropriate database technologies for specific requirements, such as online transaction processing systems (OLTP), decision support systems (DSS), data warehouses, object-oriented or other non-relational data stores, real-time systems, and mass storage systems.
Acquire data, coordinate data flow, and promote data quality.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.
An Associate's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a high school diploma/GED plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position Degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical/vocational or military training certificate in a computer-related field is an acceptable substitute for the Associate degree.
Experience with AWS OpenSearch, Elasticsearch and Kibana, & Mongo DB Experience with Linux system administration Experience with VM environments of various operating systems with tool augmentation Preferred Qualifications DevOps experience Experience with Neo4j Experience with NiagaraFiles (NiFi) Experience with IAVAs, patching, Tenable, Nessus Knowledge of security hardening procedures for Linux $126,000 - $141,000 a year The ARSIEM pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
