General Functions:The 2nd – 3rd Grade Ministry Director executes the service experience for the 2nd – 3rd grade students, overseeing the designated areas and volunteers.
Supervision Received:Reports directly to the Children's Ministry Pastor and must seek authorization for a broad scope of tasks.
Scope & Dimensions:Interacts with all staff, volunteers, and children to create a relevant, fun, and engaging experience for the 2nd – 3rd grade students.
Responsibilities:Manage assigned ministry rooms and volunteers during service experiences on Thursdays and Sundays.Recruit, train, and lead ministry volunteers (small group leaders, teachers, tech leaders, etc.).Provide care for volunteers and families within the 2nd – 3rd Grade Ministry.Create, edit, and prepare the necessary curriculum for the 2nd – 3rd Grade Ministry.Purchase and prepare the necessary elements and supplies for weekly services and small group activities.Complete assigned administrative tasks and weekly ministry requirements (volunteer scheduling, volunteer assimilation, etc.).Ensure all Eastlake Kids Ministry Policies and Procedures are followed.Assist with designated EastLake Kids Ministry events.Attend designated weekly ministry and staff meetings.Assist the Children's Ministry Pastor with assigned responsibilities.Experience And Educational Requirements:Technical Skills: Google Documents/Spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Canva, and Google Calendar.General audio/visual knowledge.Two years of experience in a related environment preferred.Additional Responsibilities:Additional duties as assigned.Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:Mobile – In and out of office to ensure task completion.Overtime hours as required by ministry needs.Church staff is required to abide by the Cultural Expectations (tithe, attendance, conduct, etc.).Terms of Employment:As a staff person at EastLake Church, I agree to abide by all provisions of the Employee Handbook.The Church reserves the right, at any time, with or without notice, to alter or change job responsibilities, reassign, or transfer job positions, or assign additional job responsibilities.This position is classified by the Church as a PART-TIME paid position and is non-exempt from the overtime provisions, as stated in the Employee Handbook.Want to Apply?If you'd like to apply, please email ******** with your resume and indicate the position you are interested in.
